Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center and Nursing Home Services

Services:

Rehabilitation Services:

Our staff's primary goal is to assist residents in restoring health and alleviating pain. This is accomplished through resident assessment and the creation of an individual treatment program designed to improve or eliminate impairments such as: functional limitations, disabilities, changes in physical function, and changes in health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes.

Balance/Falls Prevention:

For proper balance and coordination, your brain, muscles, and joints must work properly. Whether you are walking, rising from a chair, climbing stairs or reaching into a kitchen cabinet, your balance must be "in tune" to prevent a fall. Strength, flexibility, and coordinated movement patterns can now be evaluated using research-based methods, to identify each person's unique deficits and fall risks. Based on this unique evaluation process, our therapists provide you the necessary gait training and a specialized balance exercise program to maximize safety and mobility.

Speech Pathologist:

Speech-language pathologists are a part of our comprehensive rehabilitation team at Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center and Nursing Home. Their goal is to assist our residents in achieving their maximum potential for speech, language, voice/vocal quality and swallowing functions.

Physical & Occupational Therapy:

Our licensed physical therapists provide "Best Practice" therapy services. Both our occupational and physical therapy care features the best in technology, certified therapists, and a team approach utilizing the latest techniques and protocols. Our expert team serves our residents to alleviate pain and swelling, restore motion and strength, improve function and restore a productive lifestyle. The therapists at Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center and Nursing Home are specially trained in examination and treatment of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular problems that affect a resident's ability to move and function.
